Charles grew up in a hard working, blue-collar family in Winnipeg MB, where he was an honour student, president of his class and an accomplished athlete. Working alongside his father, Charles discovered his love for entrepreneurship. Together they developed property, construction contracting and ran hydroponic greenhouse operations on Vancouver Island.

Motivated by failing health and the desire to regain it, Charles became involved in formulating and marketing health products and set out to discover the ultimate vegan protein source for humans – and he found it in the mighty hemp seed. 15 years pioneering the now burgeoning hemp seed food industry finally resulted in vertically integrated Hempco and several innovative processing and product firsts such as: hemp protein powder, hemp protein concentrate and hempmilk. Charles continues to serve as the company visionary with the intent to help Hempco lead the world in hemp functional and nutraceutical foods.

Angela also brings an entrepreneurial spirit to Hempco. Her career began in retail and real estate sales, bookkeeping, management and the development of a number of pioneering online marketing ventures. She also comes with a deep understanding of how plants and food can be the key to a healthy life. When faced with her own health challenges she sought to learn more about the healing arts and she became a Dominion Herbal College chartered herbalist and clinical practitioner. This greatly assists her meet the needs of Hempco® customers. She plays a key role in the growth of Hempco® while managing the office, logistics and operations.

Symentha is the passionate younger sister with the big heart.  On a mission to inspire and empower the world by sharing her own journey from sickness to wellness, her vision is big and bold as she strives to help heal the world with hemp.

After years of being a model, recording and performing artist, an actor and professional bartender, Symentha’s  health took a turn for the worst. Suffice it to say, hemp came to the rescue.

Going from slinging bar drinks to sharing hemp shakes, she followed the lead of her big brother, took her health into her own hands and did a health make-over.  She became a certified Hatha Yoga instructor, a Hypnotherapist, studied Taoism and Qi gong and became a health coach. Today, she works closely with her family and the PlanetHemp® team to share her story, knowledge and healthy cooking prowess—using hemp food, of course!

Symentha recently launched her booklet, Bringing Hemp Home, is soon launching her second booklet, Hardwired for Hemp, and started an online hub to support those who would like to use hemp food products to ignite their own health transformations.

John, a financial management professional comes to Hempco® from Bay Street in Toronto with 28 years of private and public company experience, 17+ years working with high growth and early stage companies on worldwide projects. Demonstrated ability to streamline business operations that drive growth and increase efficiency, as well as bottom-line profit. Strong qualifications in the implementation and development of financial controls and processes. Possessing solid leadership, communication and interpersonal skills. Working the most recent 9+ years as a self employed consultant.

Tony is responsible for PlantHemp’s European expansion as we strive to deliver PLANETHEMP® products on both sides of the Atlantic.

Tony has spent his career working in the food and associated sectors, initially as a scientist supporting the farming community within the UK Government’s Agriculture, Fisheries & Food Ministry. It was there that  he discovered an entrepreneurial talent and left to start his own product testing business—achieving key supplier status with many of the UK’s main food companies. Later he became Sales & Marketing Director of one of Europe’s leading providers of ingredient innovation, product development, legislation and consumer research services to the global food industry with a client base covering more than 60 countries. Most recently, he led the development and launch of a new vegetarian product range achieving substantial listings within both health food and general store chains including the UK’s largest multiple retailer.

Having a first-hand understanding of how food is produced, processed and presented has driven his personal interest in making a real difference to people’s lives through improving their diet and nutrition. Tony’s business focus is Sales & Marketing, enhanced by an MBA from Warwick Business School, England.
